The beginning of November means we’re one day closer to Black Friday 2011, what many call the biggest shopping day of the year. Those residing in New York City are also home to what many call the biggest shopping city with the combination of the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island. Whether you call NYC home or you’re planning to travel to find some great shopping deals there are dozens of shopping districts as well as hundreds of retailers will surely not disappoint. When planning where to shop this year a few of your choices include Union Square, Woodbury Common Outlets, Kings Plaza Mall, Queens Place Mall, The Shops at Columbus Circle, South Street Seaport, Greenwich Village, Fifth Avenue & 57th Street and Crossings Outlets.
Other popular shopping areas in and around NYC include Manhattan Mall which is located at sixth avenue & 33rd street and is home to stores like Aeropostale and Express. Broadway which is considered the most commercial strip is grounded by Levi’s, Hillfiger, Guess, Bebe and H&M. American Apparel, The Body Shop, Old Navy, MAC Cosmetics and H&M are located between St. Nicolas Ave and Fifth Ave on 125th Street. Bay Plaza Shopping Center has stores such as Barnes & Noble, Kmart, JCPenny, Old Navy and Staples while you can find Toys “R” Us, no name cheap electronics stores and stores that make up what is called “the Diamond District” in Times Square & the Theater District. A few other shopping areas include Lower Manhattan & the Financial District and the Historic Orchard Street Shopping District.
So far the buzz on Black Friday 2011 store hours includes Toys “R” Us opening at 10pm on Thanksgiving Day and Kohl’s, Target and Macy’s which have announced a midnight opening for Black Friday meaning they will open 24 hours on Black Friday 2011. But be sure to look out for other deals coming soon like Sears Black Friday Sales 2011, Walmart Black Friday Sales and Best Buy Black Friday Sales. Black Friday Video Games Sales 2011 also should be a huge time for gamers to pick up some great deals
A few other shopping areas to keep in mind include Staten Island Mall, Trump Tower, Takashimaya, Newport Center Mall, The Queens Center Mall, Queens Place Mall and Roosevelt Field. In the next few days and weeks to come, Black Friday 2011 ad scans will slowly be leaked. As soon as these become available I will be sure to update with the specifics. In addition I will do my best to post all the mall hours for these stores and shopping centers so be sure to check back frequently. And don’t forget that shopping online can also be rewarding especially when stores like Best Buy offering free shipping on everything sold at BestBuy.com starting Tuesday, November 1st – Tuesday, December 27th.
